Current programme of events

The first concert of 2016 was given by the brilliant Chopin pianist Eugen Indjic. We have been privileged to have him play for us on more than a few occasions in the past, and were delighted to welcome him back. He gave an all-Chopin recital, and it was exciting to hear him on the new piano.

By contrast, Andreas Boyde has never played for us before. He is an extremely distinguished pianist and was first recommended to us as outstanding by the late Eleanor Bailie (former Committee Member), as well as by Steinways. The second half of his programme is all Chopin.

Many years ago, in the days of our founder Lucie Swiatek, Valentin Schiedermair played for the Society at Princes Gate. Then he gave a hugely successful recital for the Society two years ago. We were so pleased to welcome him again with a varied programme, including a good selection of Chopin.

Our programme for the year also includes recitals by: Piers Lane; Janina Fialkowska (with the Sacconi Quartet); Stefan Ciric; Lara Melda; Piotr Paleczny; with the summer gala recital at Hatchlands performed by Sam Haywood on Chopin's own Pleyel piano.
